  • Day 1 - May 22nd – Ola, Portugal!
    Touch down, Humberto Delgado Airport (LIS) where a private transfer awaits to whisk you to your boutique hotel in the heart of the city. Take time to settle in before joining your fellow travelers for a fabulous traditional Portuguese welcome dinner—saude' to the week ahead!

    Note: We recommend leaving the US on May 21st so that your flight arrives by 2:00pm on May 22nd – early enough to participate in Day 1’s activities. Should you wish to arrive a day early, pre-trip hotel charges will be added to your final bill.

    Day 2 – May 23rd - Lisbon

    Discover the best of Lisbon with your private guide as you explore the historic riverside district of Belém, taste the city’s beloved pastel de Belém, and take in some of Lisbon’s most iconic landmarks. Then wander the charming lanes of Alfama, the soulful heart of the city with its whitewashed houses and sweeping hilltop views. In the evening, enjoy an unforgettable Fado dinner, where traditional cuisine and music come together for a truly authentic Lisbon experience.

    Day 3 – May 24th - Lisbon to Sintra and Cascais

    Meet your private driver this morning and set out to explore the towns just outside Lisbon. Your first stop is Sintra, a storybook hillside village filled with winding lanes, colorful palaces and little pastry shops tucked into historic buildings. You’ll have time to wander the old town, admire the mix of architectural styles and see the bright, fairytale-like Pena Palace from up close.

    After lunch, continue on to Cascais, a charming coastal town known for its sandy beaches and relaxed seaside vibe. Stroll through the lively center, where the Atlantic meets chic cafés and fishing boats bobbing in the harbor.

    Your day ends with a beautiful sail back to Lisbon, giving you a chance to take in the coastline, beaches and elegant palaces from the water. It’s a perfect way to wrap up a day filled with history, color and coastal charm.

    Day 4 – May 25th - Free Day 

    Enjoy a leisurely morning in Lisbon with a full day to explore at your own pace. This is the perfect chance to revisit a favorite neighborhood, browse local boutiques, wander through a museum or simply settle into a sidewalk café and watch the city go by. You might ride the iconic yellow tram through the hills, visit a viewpoint for sweeping city views or wander along the riverfront for a slower start to the day.

    In the evening, we’ll meet up for a classic Portuguese dinner, sharing stories and savoring the flavors that make this city so unforgettable.

    Day 5 – May 26th - Welcome to Porto

    This morning you’ll make your way north to Porto, a beautiful three-hour drive that brings you straight into the heart of Portugal’s second-largest city. After checking into your hotel and grabbing lunch nearby, you’ll head out for a guided introduction to Porto’s history, neighborhoods and unforgettable charm.

    Your guide will take you through some of the city’s most beloved areas, from elegant Boavista to the seaside breeze of Foz. Continue into the historic center, a UNESCO World Heritage site filled with tiled churches, grand squares and winding streets. You’ll see favorites like São Bento Station, Clerigos Tower, Lello Bookshop and the colorful Bolhão Market as you learn how Porto earned its nickname, the Unbeaten City.

    End the afternoon along the Douro River with views of the Dom Luís I Bridge and the Ribeira waterfront. Then cross into Vila Nova de Gaia to visit one of the iconic port wine lodges. Walk among the aging barrels, learn how Portugal’s famous fortified wine came to be and enjoy a relaxed tasting that showcases the difference between ruby and tawny port.

    It’s the perfect welcome to this soulful and deeply historic city.

    Day 6 – May 27th - The Douro Valley

    After breakfast, your driver will meet you for a full day in the Douro Valley, one of the most beautiful wine regions in the world. As you wind through terraced hillsides and river views, you’ll stop at hand-picked wineries to learn about the region’s history and taste the wines that made it famous. You’ll also visit a small olive oil producer before enjoying a relaxed lunch of regional dishes at a local restaurant.

    In the afternoon, board a traditional wooden boat for a peaceful cruise along the Douro River. This is the perfect moment to sit back, take in the sweeping vineyard landscapes and enjoy a glass of port as the valley drifts by.

    Return to Porto in the early evening and enjoy your final night in the city at your own pace.


    Day 7 – May 28th - Coimbra and Return to Lisbon

    After breakfast and checkout, your driver will take you south toward Lisbon with a stop in the historic city of Coimbra along the way. You’ll have time to wander its charming streets, visit the famous university perched above the river and enjoy lunch in the medieval center. Coimbra’s colorful hillside and deep academic history give it a character all its own.

    After your visit, continue on to Lisbon and settle back into your hotel. The rest of the day is yours to relax or explore a bit more of the city. You might visit the beautiful National Tile Museum, housed in a 16th-century convent, or stroll through the creative Marvila neighborhood with its breweries, cafés and galleries.

    We'll come together for one more wonderful meal, celebrating the sights, flavors, and memories we’ve shared along the way.
